Threefold to be joined by UNFI at P2PI LIVE to talk independent retailers

Threefold is elated to share that we’re taking the stage at P2PI LIVE & Expo 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri for an exciting discussion titled "Supercharging Retail Media: Harnessing the Power of Independent Retailers to Reach Previously Unaddressable Shoppers!" We’ll be joined at the event, hosted by our partners at the Path to Purchase Institute, by our friends at United Natural Foods (UNFI), the largest publicly operated wholesale distributor in the U.S., Nov. 8, at 11:30 a.m.


In the US, major retailers have launched their own thriving retail media networks (RMNs). According to projections from Insider Intelligence, retail media ad spend in the US is anticipated to reach $45.15 billion this year, 20% more than category spend last year. By 2027, spending on U.S. retail media is expected to reach $106.12 billion.


But there’s one area that’s so far been difficult for brand marketers to reach: independent retailers and their shoppers.


Simply put, the independent grocery shopper has been unaddressable — until now.


Join retail media expert Sean Crawford, managing director of Threefold North America, and David Berube, senior director of retail media and AI at UNFI, for an insightful discussion about emerging opportunities to meet that shopper.


“There’s a tremendous untapped opportunity for brands to meet shoppers at independent retailers, as a massive portion of grocery spend in the US happens at these stores,” said Crawford. “There’s a huge market for independent retailers to get involved in retail media, and the next era of retail media will enable them to enter the category and grow.”
